Pocahontas is the county seat of Randolph County with a population of 7,371. Pocahontas offers more than 2,000 acres of industrial sites and a 140-acre Industrial Park. The community offers a combination of resources, available trained labor, and plant sites, all of which combine to make this an ideal place for business and industry to locate.

Pocahontas Aquatic Center is a state-of-the-art aquatic center that opened its doors in 2015. The Aquatic Center houses an Olympic size indoor pool and indoor therapy pool, both open year-round. The Center’s outdoor facility includes a splash pad, two water slides, and a diving pool that is open during the summer months. The Aquatic Center offers water aerobics, swimming lessons and is the home of the Pocahontas Aquatic Dolphins.

Pocahontas Sports Complex is home to all baseball, softball, t-ball, soccer, and flag football games. To learn more about joining any adult or youth league call Pocahontas City Hall at 870-892-3924. The City of Pocahontas also oversees three parks: Thomas O’Marr Park, Riverfront Park, and Overlook Park.

The Pocahontas Community Center offers a youth basketball league, men’s basketball league, women’s basketball leagues, P.A.C.E. exercise class, quilting group, and exercise room. Both the gym and four meeting rooms are available for rental by calling Pocahontas City Hall at 870-892-3924.
