Explain a defining moment in your business’ history. What makes it so special?
Onin Staffing first came to Pocahontas to help support PECO Foods with our relocation program. In order to do this we built a 48 unit townhome complex to house new workers. Since then we have moved towards public leasing and have local and relocation workers living in our complex. We work closely with poverty programs, second chance programs, and cultural/community centers. It is special because Pocahontas has been so wonderful in accepting our new community and embracing the many cultural differences of our relocation workers. I absolutely love this town!
Anything else you want to share?
With the current employment crisis due to the added benefits to unemployment, it is critical that workers return to the workforce. In the past few years, we have seen a major growth in manufacturing. As manufacturing as returned to the United States there has been a major decrease to the available workers. We have over 250 openings in the Walnut Ridge, Pocahontas, and Black Rock area. If you know someone needing to work please send them our way. We always take walk-in’s and are open from 8-5. We’d love to see ya!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE RANDOLPH COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE!
