Kids’ Fishing Derby
June 13
It’s almost time for Davidsonville Historic State Park’s annual kids’ fishing derby. Registration for the derby is at 8 a.m. at the History Cabin and fishing will close at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for all age groups at noon and a drawing will follow with additional prizes given out. Kids must bring their own pole and bait. Open to kids 5-15 years old. Derby is free to enter. Free drinks and snacks will be available at the History Cabin while supplies last and there will also be face painting available this year for a fee.
History & Adventure Camp
June 17-19
It’s almost time for kid’s day camp at Davidsonville Historic State Park. The day camp will be held June 17-19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day and there are lots of fun activities planned including games, crafts, hiking and more. Camp is open to kids 8-12 years old and the admission fee is $25 a day. The fee covers all food, snacks, drinks, and supplies. To register or for a more detailed schedule, you may contact the park at 870-892-4708. Only limited space is available each day so please register early. The deadline to register is June 13.
