The United Way of Northeast Arkansas will have a Food Drive beginning on Monday, June 1st through Saturday, June 13th. All food and monetary donations will remain in Randolph County, and will be distributed to help support the local area food banks, as well as the local area schools summer back pack programs. All donations can be dropped off at the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce in the Historic Randolph County Courthouse beginning Monday, June 1st through Friday, June 12th between the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM. There will also be volunteers present on Thursday, June 4th beginning at 6 PM to accept donations during “Stroll the Square”. The Food Drive will conclude on Saturday, June 13th, as volunteers from United Way, local area food banks and local businesses will be collecting donations at the Pocahontas Wal-Mart and Price Chopper locations from 8 AM until 5 PM.
We encourage everyone to unite to help end hunger in Randolph County. We would like to thank everyone in advance for their support and donations in this worthy cause. We would especially like to thank UPS and Beverly’s Downtown Catering for sponsoring this event.
