Ozark Hellbender/Founders Day Celebration
Goes On (despite the weather)
The Celebration will be held with most events happening as scheduled. The rain is supposed to abate by Saturday with temperatures warming.
This evening’s Ozark Hellbender Auction will be held from 6:30 to 8 pm at the old Pocahontas Lumber warehouse next door to Fitness Worx.
All scheduled activities for Saturday will go on at the times and places indicated with one exception. IN THE EVENT OF RAIN, the Caboose dedication at 12:15 pm will be held at the Historic Imperial Theatre downtown instead of at the old depot.
This is but one of the many indoor events happening on Saturday—The Historic Lecture Series begins at the Old Imperial Theatre at 8:30 am and continues to 3pm. Drop in any time to hear some very interesting local history stories.
Marilyn’s Clogging Company’s Spring Show, dancing through the ages, will be presented at 1 and 6 pm at Marilyn’s on the Square.
The eighth annual Regional quilt Show will be held in the Old Courthouse from 8:30 to 4.
The vintage Salt and Pepper Shaker Exhibit will go on all day at the Heritage Museum Annex. Most of the downtown art galleries will be open all day as well as other downtown shops.
Outdoor events such as the Hellbender 5k, Hellbender Boogie Dice Run and the Haunted Tour will go on as scheduled.
