On November 1, 2011 the Five Rivers Historic Preservation, Inc. Celebrated Italy’s Influence on Our 1873 Courthouse with a Fund Raiser Kickoff “A Night in Italy” in the Old Courthouse Court Room.
The room was beautifully decorated in an Italian theme by Linda Bowlin, Bill Carroll, Babbie Nelson, Jean Pearcy, Sharon White and Teresa Earley. There were wonderful Italian Hors D’oeuvers, provided by Bootsie Barre’, Carol Grider, Abi Baltz, Linda Bowlin, Virginia Stevens and Carol Ann Carroll. (Hats off to the cooks!)
There was a brief program and Preservation Awards. The entertainment was provided by the multi-talented Robert Bowlin. For those of you that have not had the privileged of listening to Robert play, need to do so the next time he is in our area! The event was well attended with approximately 150 people. If you missed this event, I am sure there will be more in the future.
All proceeds to benefit Randolph County Heritage Museum and other Five Rivers Preservation Projects.
