Maynard Pioneer Days will be held this weekend September 15, 16 and 17 at Maynard Pioneer Park on Hwy 328W in Maynard (Behind the Fire Department.)
Thursday is School night.
Pet parade at 5pm. Pioneer Prince and Princess announced, and various school groups offering food and fun activities.
Friday:
Craft fair opens at 9am. Chicken and Dumpling Dinner or Hamburger Plate beginning at 5 PM. Baked Goods Contest and Auction. Wildflower arranging contest. Door Prizes. Live Gospel music beginning at 5pm on the main stage with House of Mercy Worship Team, Supply Apostolic Church Group, Witt’s Chapel Upper Room, and By His Grace.
Saturday:
Breakfast available at the concession stand. Parade at 10am. Posting of Colors. Parade winners announced. Politicians. Live Country Music on main stage with Jamboree Band starting at 11am. Gospel Music near the church at the back of the park (will be on the main stage at 1pm.) Lot of craft booths and food vendors. Games, turkey shoot, and other events available. Contests and awards for the oldest and youngest, who traveled farthest, best Pioneer Dress, best beard. Tour the cabin, museum and church. Demonstrations of Pioneer life throughout the day behind the museum by Northeast Arkansas Living Historians.
