2016 Student Ambassador Program

The Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Student Ambassador Program seeks to reach out to those youth who are the next generation of leaders in our community.  Being a Student Ambassador prepares the students for constructive and responsible participation in community affairs as well as furthering the mission of the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, which is to promote and perpetuate the business, commercial, manufacturing, agricultural and civic interest of the surrounding territory

Throughout the program, students explore our community – its resources, leadership needs, issues and opportunities. They share ideas and learn what it takes to work together and to become decision-makers. They examine how to develop the abilities and skills needed to be responsible participants in community affairs. This program is designed to motivate students to think seriously about the role they’d like to play and the difference they can make in their community.

All interested students shall return their applications no later than Friday, September 30, 2016 to your principal’s office. All applications will be reviewed by the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce and maximum of 10 students (6 seniors and 4 juniors) will be selected between both Pocahontas High School and Maynard High School.

All SENIOR Student Ambassadors are eligible for the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Student Ambassador Scholarship. One Senior Student Ambassador will be selected to receive a $500 scholarship based on the completion of all required tasks, as well as completing an essay on “Effective Leadership”. All essays must be turned in no later than March 3, 2017.
