With a friendly small-town population of 6,535, Pocahontas is the seat of Randolph County, which also includes the incorporated towns of Maynard, Biggers, Reyno, Ravenden Springs and O’kean. Pocahontas offers a wide range of recreational possibilities. In total, five different Rivers run through Randolph County, making the possibilities for good fishing and canoeing in clear, clean waters almost endless. There are also many areas around the county to enjoy great hunting of all sorts.
As the seat of Randolph County, Pocahontas is located 45 minutes north of Jonesboro on the banks of the Black River. Also Pocahontas is within 6 hours drive from Springfield MO, Tulsa OK, Little Rock,and Memphis and Jackson TN.
