The Pocahontas Sports Complex will be hosting a Special Olympics Unified Softball event on September 19th from 9am – 6pm. The event is currently in search of Special Olympics athletes, volunteer coaches and partners without intellectual disabilities.
Tickets are now available for the September 26 event commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the integration of Randolph County’s African American students into public schools at Pocahontas, Sloan-Hendrix, and Biggers-Reyno.
August 28th and 29th are the final two nights for John Grisham’s “A Time to Kill” at the Downtown Playhouse in Pocahontas. The play, based on Grisham’s bestselling novel, will stage its final showings this Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm.
