Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby
June 4, 2016 – 8 a.m. to Noon
Davidsonville Historic State Park’s Kids’ Fishing Derby is held every year on Trapper Lake. This is a great opportunity to get your kids outside and give them a chance to practice their fishing skills. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and fishing will close at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for all age groups. Kids must bring their own poles and bait. Open to children 5-15 years old. Admission: Free to enter
Gourd Workshop
June 18, 2016 – 9 a.m. to Noon
Gourds have been used for centuries for a variety of purposes. Join the park interpreter and learn how to shape and decorate these unusual plants and create things like bird houses and bowls to take home. Please dress appropriately as some materials may stain. Must be 18 years or older. Space is limited and early registration is required. Contact the park at 870-892-4708 to register. Admission: $20 per person
