Give us a brief history of your business: Kenneth Thomas and James Speight formed a partnership in Blytheville in 1979. They expanded to Osceola in 1988, Pocahontas in 1991 and later to Jonesboro. In December 2012 our Pocahontas office merged with Lincoln & Lincoln, Ltd. The current professional staff in Pocahontas includes Kelly Edington, Bill Lincoln, Kathern Neidecker and Eric Young. Associates include Brenda Parsons, Patricia Pritchett and Carole Summers.
What do you see for the future of your business? Technology has been at the forefront of the profession. The current trend is cloud based computing and this will continue to expand. That means we can proved secure access to clients of their accounting and tax products from their devices that have internet connections. One of the major challenges associated with cloud based computing is the security of clients’ personal information. That is why we use the software services of one of the largest accounting software companies who have state of the art security systems and procedures. Each user must be vigilant. Data security is only as strong as the personal practices and safeguards by each of us to our personal information.
